These visualisations will be our first step towards developing the ‘fairness score,’ which will be one of the main outcomes. We are not only interested in listening habits, but also in opinions, experiences, and stories about music streaming services. Are recommender systems behaving as you expect them to? Do they have their own agenda? How is the balance between catering to your music preferences and introducing you to what you didn’t know you wanted? The Fair MusE project has two other dimensions covering the economic and the legal aspects of music streaming. The purpose of the economic dimension is to map the economy and the business of music streaming services.
